From the time of Independence, India has shown remarkable growth in all spheres of life, especially in the realm of Science and Technology.
The country's achievements are reflected in the fields of Space Exploration, Information Technology, Pharmaceuticals, and Renewable Sources of Energy.
The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) stands as a testament to our nation's dedication to space exploration, with missions like Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan earning global recognition.
But, as we all know, behind every scientific breakthrough and technological innovation are dedicated educators who nurture young minds.
Teachers play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our nation by imparting knowledge, inspiring creativity, and fostering critical thinking.
I request all of you teachers to encourage the habit of asking questions and expressing doubts among the students. By answering more and more questions and resolving doubts, your knowledge will also increase.
Believe me, ‘How to learn’ is more important than ‘what to learn’ because the content of learning keeps changing. But learning basic skills remains useful even when the material changes.
In other words, the new generations need ‘the art of learning’ and ‘re-learning’.
Today, we are witnessing technology like Artificial Intelligence (AI), which used to be in science fiction, becoming an integral part of our lives.
Robotics and drone technology have already knocked on our doors.
Hence, we must break free from old thinking and embrace new horizons. We need to prepare our children for this.
Students will be future-ready only when you (teachers) are change-ready.
Continue to improve your professional capabilities.
It is the competence, confidence and commitment of teachers that can make the real difference.
Teachers impact not only the students but the entire society. They can inculcate such qualities in students that make them kind, responsible and noble human beings who make this world a better place.
They not only transfer information but also instill values, ethics, and a passion for learning.
In the transformative journey of the country from a developing nation to a Developed Nation, institutions like the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh, play a pivotal role.
NITTTR  with its rich legacy and expertise, is playing a crucial role of guiding light for effective teacher training, especially to technical teachers and pedagogical  advancements.
It serves as a hub for nurturing educators who, in turn, shape the minds of our future generations.
NITTTR's commitment to Research and Development, Curriculum Development, and Pedagogical Innovations aligns seamlessly with the goals of the National Education Policy.
I believe, NITTTR's role extends beyond the classroom.
Its engagement with different stakeholders such as Educational Institutions, Industry, and Policymakers creates a collaborative ecosystem that drives educational reforms and societal progress in the country.
I am sure, through workshops, seminars, and research initiatives, NITTTR   catalyzes the exchange of ideas and best practices, enriching the educational landscape at large.
Let us continue to embrace these pillars of progress, working in unison to create a brighter and more prosperous future for our nation.
I firmly believe that in 2047, when the nation celebrates 100 years of independence, our dream and resolution of making India a developed country will be realized.
And this period lies in the hands of the teachers who are receiving training today. Those who are getting prepared by you today, they will be the ones preparing the youth for the country’s tomorrow.
On this occasion of Annual Day Celebration of NITTTR, Chandigarh, congratulations to all the stakeholders, including faculty, staff and students of the institute.
I, also, extend congratulations to all the award-winners for displaying excellence in academic and allied areas of functioning.
Thank you,
Jai Hind!
