It is a pleasure to inaugurate the 9th Edition of the INS/OUTS expo – a convergence of innovation, design, and sustainability that holds the promise of shaping our future cities and living spaces.
I congratulate to the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Indian Institute of Architects, and the Fire & Security Association of India (FSAI) for bringing together this magnificent platform.
Friends,
India has a very rich history and tradition of architecture.
We have our ancient temples and forts, Buddhist stupas and viharas and the Qutub Minar, Charminar, Gol Gumbaz and Taj Mahal. There are many more examples of great works of architecture.
You may be aware that between 1800 and 1850, there were only two cities with a population of more than one million London and Paris.
But, century after century, large cities or the metropolises have developed and continue to grow around the world.
Apparently, little thought has been given to the consequences of haphazard and unbridled urban growth.
The impact of aggressive urbanization on the environment is considered serious by architects  who are well aware of the close relationship between ecology and human survival.
So, in a world where urbanization is swiftly altering the way we live, the importance of architecture, interiors, and safety cannot be overstated.
The theme of this year's event, "Towards Sustainable Design, Technology & Safety," aligns perfectly with the urgent need to create habitable spaces that prioritize efficiency, security, and eco-friendliness.
Friends,
Chandigarh is considered as one of the most modernized and developed cities in North India.
The visionary thinking of our early planners has helped the City to evolve with highest sustainability standards.
We are now well aware of the ills of climate change and the benefits of energy efficiency.
So, we must ensure that buildings, roads and other infrastructure created are energy efficient and environment friendly.
This exhibition brings to light the most pioneering products, designs, and technologies that will shape our cities, villages, and spaces for years to come.
It warms my heart to witness a strong emphasis on green buildings and sustainable practices.
The strides we are making towards constructing eco-friendly structures that minimize their environmental impact are both commendable and inspiring.
These green buildings not only reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions but also foster a healthier and more harmonious coexistence with nature.
The dedication to incorporating renewable energy sources, optimizing resource utilization, and integrating natural elements into architectural designs showcases our collective commitment to safeguarding our planet.
Such endeavors remind us that progress need not come at the cost of our environment, but can instead be a harmonious partnership that enriches both our lives and the world around us.
Let us celebrate the strides we've taken and inspire one another to continue innovating for a greener & promising future.
I would like to complement the PHD Chamber for creating a platform that not only fosters business-to-business interactions but also provides an opportunity for individuals to engage with these remarkable advancements.
It is my firm belief that our ability to create sustainable and intelligent habitats will be the legacy we leave for future generations.
I encourage all participants to make the most of this exceptional event – forge partnerships, exchange ideas, and explore the boundless potential that lies within the architecture, interiors, real estate and safety sectors.
Let us all embark on the journey towards sustainable design, technology, and safety with unwavering determination and enthusiasm.
Thank you.
Jai Hind!
