It is a pleasure to be here to lay the foundation stone of the Advanced Academic and Research Centre.
My young friends,
The year 2023 is very important, it marks the beginning of the 25-year AmritKaal period.
The vision for AmritKaal includes a thriving environment with the opportunity for self-actualisation for all.
When 140 crore people perform their Constitutional duties in the spirit of patriotism, then no one can stop the country from progressing.
Under the leadership of our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, the Nation has got a new direction and energy and India has made unprecedented progress in many fields. India’s Global Innovation Index ranking improved from 81 in 2015 to 46.
From Silicon-valley to Sydney, Indians have made a respectable place in modern workplaces all over the world. The talent of Indians is appreciated globally.
The foundation stone laying of the Research Centre marks a significant milestone in City’s Beautiful journey towards academic excellence and innovation.
In an era defined by rapid technological advancements and ever-evolving global challenges, the role of research and innovation has never been more critical.
Within the laboratories and research chambers, the ideas are born, theories are tested, and breakthroughs are achieved.
So, this centre will not just be a Rs. 5 crore brick and mortar centre but will be a sanctuary for those who dare to question, who dare to explore, and who dare to dream of a better, more informed world.
It will serve as a platform where you will not only gain theoretical knowledge but also have the opportunity to engage in hands-on experimentation, critical analysis, and real-world problem-solving.
Dear students,
All of you must extend gratitude to the visionary faculty of PGGC-11 who championed this initiative and will guide you through your research journeys, and would diligently work together to bring this centre to life.
Also, pledge to utilize this Centre to its fullest potential and strive for excellence in all our endeavors.
Take inspiration from the call given by our beloved Prime minister - India is going ahead with the mantra of 'Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan and Jai Anusandhan'! Shastriji gave us the slogan: “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, “While Atal ji added “Jai Vigyan” to it. Modi Ji has taken it a step further, by adding “Jai Anusandhan”.
I call upon you to work towards ease of living for people. Early disaster warning systems, tackling malnutrition, tackling diseases, clean energy, clean drinking water, and cyber security etc; with a strong research eco-system, let us find solutions through research, in these areas.
Dear students,
If your dream is limited only to your career, then you all will not be able to do justice to yourself and to the society.
The scope of your thinking and your responsibility should be much wider. I request all of you to have new dreams, and dream big, to build a new India and a new world.
Once again, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to each and every one of you who has contributed to making this project a reality.
