  • Glad to be at 45th Anniversary of the Ludhiana Management Association.
  • Association is a good mix of entrepreneurs, academicians, practicing managers and students working together.
  • This gives a feeling that the Ludhiana Management Association is not merely an organisation, it’s a community – a community bound by shared values of excellence and continuous learning.
  • This city, Ludhiana has produced some of the brightest minds in the areas of business and commerce.
  • I find that Punjabi entrepreneurs, are the trailblazers who dare to dream and turn those dreams into reality.
  • The Punjabi spirit is one that knows no bounds. 
  • The entrepreneurial spirit of Punjabis has left an enduring impact across industries and geographies (worldwide). 
  • The world we are living in today, is evolving and changing rapidly.
  • Due to Technology, Internet, machine intelligence, automation etc, your challenges have increased multi-fold.
  • Today, entrepreneurs from Ludhiana do not compete with their counterparts from India; they compete with entrepreneurs from all over the world.
  • Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi had said “The world is changing quicker than ever before and we cannot remain oblivious to that. If we don’t innovate, if we don’t come up with cutting edge products, there will be stagnation.”
  • So, you need to constantly evolve and adapt.
  • Recently, I met quite a Vice Chancellors from prominent Central and State Universities. They all opined that for our country to be Viksit  Bharat at 2047 it is mandatory that educational institutions and industrialists/commercial organisaitons should not work in silos.
  • They should exchange views, sit together and discuss.
  • Empower each other to reach new heights of success and prosperity.
  • In the interest of Nation and for our own benefit, rise above self; leverage your collective strength.
  • (During launch of Viksit Bharat at 2047 in Punjab Raj Bhavan Vice Chancellor of the Central University, Bathinda informed that) The Central  University has created  research group called “Research for Resurgent Punjab”. In this 40 institutions including IIT Ropar, Punjab Engineering College, Punjab University, Chandigarh and Several other institutions have joined hands. 
  • They will conduct solution driven research on 3 prominent problems of Punjab. 

            One is Migration of our youth,

            Other is Pollution – Pollution of Soil, Water and Air

            Third one is Drug Addiction.

  • All these problems directly/indirectly affect all of you also. 
  • So, always promote research and development generously.
  • Collective efforts will not just reap benefits for you but will also contribute significantly to socio-economic fabric of our society.
  • I congratulate all the award winners.
  • I also congratulate the office bearers President & members of LMA for organising the function.
